Description
Territory Leadership: Develop, implement, and manage an integrated business plan that results in sustainable sales performance.
Revenue Growth: Build on existing territory production by identifying new opportunities for incremental growth.
Relationship Management & Development: Build productive relationships with new and identified top producing Financial Professionals and RIAs– raising the profile of AEI 1031 DSTs as the solution of choice, and AEI Capital Corporation as the Sponsor of choice.
Team Leadership: Continuously mentors and educates the Sales Team for continuity, and a shared focus of best-in-class territory management and growth.
P&L Oversight: Manage an annual expense budget, tied to revenue performance and forecasts.
Tracks Sales Team progress, activity, pipeline, sales initiatives, and is responsible for reporting of all items to Leadership.
Idea generation for Sales and Marketing efforts.
Broker/Dealer conference participation and Financial Professional special event participation.
Travels for meaningful face to face meeting in assigned territory.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or sales or equivalent in experience.
Securities license (Series 7 or 22).
Additional Qualifications
Persuasive sales, marketing, presentation, and phone skills.
Verifiable successful sales experience in the investment or financial services industry.
Alternative investment wholesaling experience, especially 1031 DST experience, a plus.
MS Word, Excel, and database functions (Salesforce).
Summary
This role is responsible for driving the sale of AEI’s 1031 DST offerings with Financial Professionals and RIAs serving accredited investors within an assigned U.S. territory. In addition to direct wholesaling responsibilities, this position provides a path toward national sales leadership, including oversight of the wholesaling team, performance tracking, budget management, and development of sales initiatives. The ideal candidate is an accomplished alternative investment sales professional who excels at relationship development, territory growth, and team leadership.
