Vice President of U.S. Business Marketing RBC Capital Markets' Client and Marketing Strategy team is a high-performing group of marketing professionals supporting the ambitious growth goals of our institutional and corporate client businesses.
The Vice President of U.S. Business Marketing) is a strategic B2B marketing role responsible for strategically developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive awareness and engagement with corporate and private equity sponsor clients across RBC Capital Markets' Global Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, and RBC Clear (Cash Management) businesses. This is a newly created position that serves as the primary marketing partner for some of RBCCM's highest-priority growth businesses.
This Vice President will own end-to-end marketing strategy across three interconnected business lines.
This role requires a candidate who can translate complex capital markets and banking products into compelling client narratives while building strong partnerships with senior business stakeholders. You will develop positioning frameworks, lead the creation of thought leadership and sales enablement materials, and oversee integrated content strategies that drive measurable client engagement.
This is a unique opportunity to shape positioning for strategic growth businesses, lead high-impact marketing initiatives across investment banking and banking solutions while working with senior leaders across business functions, products, and sales.
Global Investment Banking Own U.S. marketing strategies for GIB's core capital markets products, M&A, ECM, DCM, and Project Finance, and key industry sectors, with an eye for opportunities to showcase cross-sector or cross-product capabilities in high growth business areas. Build and maintain strong relationship management with senior stakeholders, ensuring Marketing remains closely aligned with business priorities, identifies opportunities to support, and executes and delivers against objectives.
Drive execution of specific global initiatives and programs in close collaboration with global marketing counterparts to ensure alignment and consistency across regions.
Create and execute thought leadership content that positions RBCCM as a market leader in investment banking. Develop narrative frameworks and content strategy that position leadership insights with a compelling and differentiated approach aligned to evolving external market conditions.
RBC Clear (Cash Management) Own RBC Clear marketing strategy, positioning RBC Clear as an interconnected solution within the broader institutional banking landscape.
Lead sales enablement for RBC Clear, developing credentials materials, product sheets, and digital client-facing content.
Create and execute thought leadership content for RBC Clear.
Corporate Banking Provide strategic marketing support for Corporate Banking, ensuring initiatives are integrated with RBC Clear and broader RBCCM strategies.
Develop content and sales enablement materials that showcase RBCCM's lending and banking capabilities.
Cross-Business Responsibilities Design and oversee content distribution across digital channels—LinkedIn, email, webinars, website—ensuring consistent messaging and optimal engagement with corporate and financial sponsor clients.
Monitor content and campaign performance, interpret key metrics to optimize ROI, and continuously refine strategies based on results and market insights.
Collaborate with Client & Marketing Strategy team's global centers of excellence including Digital Marketing, Content Strategy & Insights, Conferences & Event Marketing, branding and design studio, and other regional marketing teams. Partner with RBCCM Communications, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure all marketing materials meet regulatory requirements.
Must-Have 10+ years of B2B financial services marketing experience targeting corporate and financial sponsor clients, with demonstrated success in investment banking, capital markets, commercial banking, cash management, or related institutional financial services
Proven track record developing positioning frameworks, sales enablement programs, and integrated marketing campaigns that drive client adoption and measurable business results
Experience creating sales enablement materials and marketing content for complex financial products
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex capital markets and banking products into clear, client-focused narratives
Strong executive presence and relationship management skills with proven ability to build partnerships with senior business leaders and influence across organizational levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated capability to interpret data, measure marketing effectiveness, and optimize performance
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously across different business lines and deliver results in dynamic, fast-paced environments
Excellent project management and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across organizational levels and business units
Nice-to-Have Familiarity with marketing technology platforms and digital analytics tools

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $125,000 - $170,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
