Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!
We’re looking for a Brand Designer to join the Figma Brand Studio. This is a highly visual role focused on shaping expressive, culturally relevant, and craft‑driven brand work across campaigns, launches, storytelling moments, and experiential surfaces. You’ll help evolve how Figma shows up in the world through image‑making, typography, illustration, composition, and visual storytelling that feels authored, contemporary, and unmistakably Figma.
This role sits at the intersection of culture and craft. You’re someone who is constantly exploring new aesthetics, experimenting with image‑making techniques and AI‑powered workflows, thinking critically about how these technologies can expand creative expression rather than flatten it. You have a strong visual point of view, deep curiosity about contemporary culture, and an instinct for creating work that feels emotionally resonant and visually distinctive.
You’ll play a central role in helping shape some of Figma’s most visible and expressive brand moments—balancing experimentation and surprise with clarity, intentionality, and strong system thinking.
This is a full‑time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
Create visually distinctive and culturally relevant brand work across campaigns, launches, events, and storytelling moments
Explore and develop new visual expressions for the Figma brand through image‑making, typography, illustration, composition, motion, and emerging creative tools
Generate original concepts and creative directions that push beyond traditional tech branding while still feeling unmistakably Figma
Contribute to scalable visual systems, toolkits, and creative approaches that can evolve across a wide range of brand moments and surfaces
Bring a strong sense of craft, intentionality, and authorship to everything from early explorations to final execution
Collaborate closely with Brand Studio partners, product designers, marketers, and creative leadership to shape cohesive and impactful brand narratives
Actively experiment with new references, techniques, workflows, and technologies, sharing discoveries and creative approaches that help raise the bar across the team
Help evolve how the Figma brand shows up in a rapidly changing creative landscape, balancing consistency with experimentation and surprise
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
5+ years of experience and a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional visual craft across image‑making, composition, typography, color, illustration, and visual storytelling
Craft work that feels culturally aware, emotionally resonant, and authored rather than overly systematized or generic
Demonstrate strong visual instincts and attention to detail, with the ability to move fluidly between conceptual exploration and polished execution
Bring curiosity and a broad range of references from art, design, fashion, publishing, music, internet culture, photography, motion, and emerging creative communities
Apply deep hands‑on expertise with the Figma platform and contemporary creative workflows
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also:
Actively explore emerging creative tools, AI‑powered workflows, and new visual approaches, forming clear opinions about how and when to use them
