The Marketing Manager is responsible for the promotion of concerts, sporting events, conventions and shows within the facility, while developing creative marketing campaigns that promote public/community awareness. The individual is responsible for maintaining relationships with media partners, ensuring fulfillment of contracts, and overseeing the media buying and billing process. This individual will manage, supervise and coordinate all the activities of the Marketing department to reach budget goals and generate revenue for the facility. The Marketing Manager will implement marketing plans, manage event advertising budgets and promotions, and ensure successful sales for events.
Responsibilities
Promotion and execution of marketing campaigns for events within the facility.
Maintenance of media partner relationships and contract fulfillment.
Oversight of media buying and billing processes.
Management and coordination of the Marketing department to achieve budgetary goals and revenue targets.
Implementation of marketing plans and event advertising budgets.
Successful sales of events.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in marketing, public relations, business administration, communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of increasingly responsible experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably within a sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility or multi‑purpose public assembly facility.
FERPA certification or completion within 30 days of the job start date.
Title IX certification or completion within 30 days of the job start date.
Behavior Based Safety (BBS) certification or completion within 30 days of the job start date.
Workplace Harassment Prevention certification or completion within 30 days of the job start date.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations), publishing software such as Microsoft Publisher, Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and social media development and analytics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments efficiently under strict deadlines.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and select holidays as required in addition to traditional business hours.
Previous sales/marketing experience with an arena, convention center, hotel, or similar public assembly facility is preferred.

Employees are placed on Grade 79 based on education and experience.
