Description
The Associate Account Executive (AAE) is a full-time position, reporting to account managers, and overseeing the Account Coordinator(s) on their accounts when staffed as such. The AAE is responsible for implementing PR, Influencer and Social media initiatives for their accounts.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Account Management

Oversee, mentor and manage Account Coordinators, working closely with them to establish deadlines and timelines, map out work to be done and review work before it is shared with another supervisor.

Provide final sign off to all materials across PR, Influencer, Social and admin, as applicable

Share direct, constructive feedback to ACs in real-time

Assist AEs, SAEs and Senior Leadership in the implementation and management of client initiatives, including: Brand partnerships, media events, media trips, launch campaigns, etc.; Develop press materials, including press releases, notecard copy and fact sheets, demonstrating a solid understanding of client’s positioning and key messages; Identify, vet and execute relationships and communications with vendors and partners, on behalf of client

Work with the team to meet all deadlines and goals

Manage the tracking of account award submissions and speaking opportunities, as needed.

Participate in weekly conference calls with clients, including: Overseeing creation of agendas and action items from Account Coordinators; Lead specific initiative discussions during weekly conference call; Ensuring self or AC meets deadlines for all materials, following up for approvals as is needed.

Assist in the development of all client materials and reporting, ensuring the final materials are “review ready” and have few changes by supervisors. Items include, but are not limited to: Weekly/monthly reporting; Media clips; Competitive monitoring; Memos; Media briefing materials

Lead by example in all client communication

Ensure all emails and documents are formatted properly and have no spelling or grammar mistakes

Carefully review each document after receiving edits from a supervisor

Lead daily competitor and client monitoring searches alongside AC, flagging relevant updates to teams via Slack.

Lead daily media monitoring searching alongside AC, ensuring press coverage is found and shared with clients within a timely manner

Public Relations Tactics

Mastery of PR tools and databases including Muckrack

Conduct strategic media outreach, resulting in steady coverage for the client

Facilitate and staff interviews for clients

Assist in creation and review of briefing documents

Lead invites and RSVP's for media events and trips

Assist with the creation and execution of media mailer recommendations, creation of assets + shipment of product

Research and monitor editorial calendars on behalf of accounts for relevant outreach opportunities

Secure solid media relationships on behalf of Multiply

Participate in Media Relations Programs, build relationships with editors and stay up-to-date on the current media landscape

Participate in weekly team media touch bases

Proactively bring project updates or media trend ideas to each touch base and flagging to team members

Assist in reporting for clients including media coverage, monitoring, clips, etc.

Influencer Tactics

Provide support for influencer programming, including: Identify and vet influencers for client activations; Conduct outreach to assigned influencers and assist through negotiation and contracting with influencer; Manage influencer materials such as contract deliverables and briefs to ensure proper execution of partnerships; Report on activations by adding metrics, screenshots, profile or content links, etc.; Assist with analysis of program success and future opportunities

Manage ongoing list of agency influencer friendlies

Assist ACs in monitoring social media and flag when influencers/content creators talk about clients and competitors

Office Administration & Management

Qualifications

1-3 years of account management, client services, or account coordination experience in PR, marketing, or related agency environment

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization and meeting deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate account strategies, updates, and deliverables clearly to clients and internal teams

Demonstrated organizational skills with proficiency in project management tools and CRM platforms

Understanding of PR fundamentals, media relations, and social media strategy; ability to learn agency workflows and client objectives quickly

Ability to identify client needs, anticipate challenges, and proactively propose solutions
