Rum River Art Center is a nonprofit organization located in the north metro of the Twin Cities providing a warm, inspiring environment that embraces individuals of all artistic abilities. We offer a nurturing atmosphere to explore and express the art making process.
Position: Part‑Time 10‑15 hours per week, Remote & In‑Person
Responsibilities
Social Media Posting:
3‑6 Metta (Instagram/Facebook) posts a week highlighting RRAC
1‑2 Metta (Instagram/Facebook) posts a week highlighting CFAC
1‑2 LinkedIn posts per month for RRAC
Appropriately adjust content based on platform and target audience of each platform
Work collaboratively with admin team to see what is needing extra boosts on media outlets
Capture photos and videos from events and classes to gather inspiring images
Tracking trends and creating fresh content to capture new and old audiences
Blog:
Create 1‑2 blog posts a month
Work collaboratively with Gallery Director to create blog post for new gallery artist(s)
Create speciality posts featuring community events, projects, and people when applicable
Marketing/Newsletter:
Create newsletters to be sent through Constant Contact to email subscribers
Work collaboratively with Fundraising team to create content conveying our fundraising efforts
Create flyers for monthly workshops, summer camp or other classes
Find creative ways to highlight upcoming events, fundraisers or classes.
Provide insights and social‑first strategic recommendations to grow audience engagement
Administrative:
Cover the front desk area during open hours / approx. 5‑7 hours per week in‑person
Available for special events (art fair, gala) for event planning and day‑of coordination
Manage Google Business listing, update hours. Occasional ‘posts’
Minimum Qualifications
Passion and commitment to RRAC’s mission
Ability to work and collaborate effectively with diverse groups of people
Experience and efficient with Metta Business Suite
Successful experience creating marketing materials using digital software such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
Strong communication skills
Proficient in Google Drive applications
Base knowledge of current social media trends
Preferred but not required: prior marketing design experience
