My team is looking to bring on a contract/freelance technical writer to help support content development for a client in the lighting industry.

Responsibilities

Product category pages and buying guides

Technical explainers (LED, ballast compatibility, color temperature, etc.)

SEO-driven content that still prioritizes clarity and accuracy

Supporting content for commercial and residential lighting audiences

Qualifications

Experience writing in lighting, electrical, or closely related industries

Ability to interpret and explain specs, certifications, and applications

Strong grasp of SEO fundamentals (without sacrificing readability)

Comfortable working with product data, manufacturers, and technical nuance

If you’ve got the chops and have written for lighting brands, distributors, or electrical suppliers, that’s a bonus.
