About the Client
The client is an Australian environmental R&D and Conservation Tech firm. They serve as a strategic bridge between data-driven science and real-world application, helping organizations navigate complex ecological challenges through "first‑mover" methodologies.
Led by their founders — combines high-level academic research with cutting‑edge technology, such as drone-based animal surveying and advanced population analysis. Operating within an "Aussie startup" vibe, we maintain informal, collaborative roots while upholding the highest quality standards for government and private sector clients.
They deal with high‑stakes environmental intelligence. Much of their work involves sensitive subject matter, strict confidentiality, and groundbreaking R&D that requires a sophisticated narrative to translate "boring" or complex data into palatable, high‑impact stories.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Content Marketing Strategist who functions as an architect, not just a builder. In this role, you aren't just producing high‑volume posts; you are identifying the "Big Picture" and designing 3–6 month narrative roadmaps that align with long‑term business goals. You will act as the strategic bridge between complex environmental R&D and the global market.
This role is fundamentally marketing‑led—you are expected to think like a marketing strategist first, using content as the execution layer.
Work hours: Monday to Friday. 9:00 am to 6:00 pm AEDT/AEST (6:00 am to 3:00 pm PHT)
Work set‑up: Remote
What you’ll do
Narrative Architecture: Own the end‑to‑end content roadmap. You will map out launch sequencing and narrative arcs that move beyond day‑to‑day tasks to drive business impact.
Strategic Translation: Distill "raw," high‑stakes scientific data and academic manuscripts (e.g., drone‑based wildlife surveying) into high‑impact narratives for investors, scientists, and the public.
Constraint‑Based Storytelling: Navigate "High‑Stakes Constraints," including strict confidentiality, delayed scientific releases, and the ethical complexities of conservation tech.
Multi‑Platform Ownership: Oversight of the marketing funnel across LinkedIn, X, and the company website, ensuring "first‑mover" status in industry methodologies.
Founder Collaboration: Work directly with the Co‑Founders to challenge existing ideas and provide independent strategic direction.
Business & Launch Strategy: Plan and execute content strategies aligned with product launches, service roll‑outs, and key business milestones—ensuring clear narrative buildup before and after each release.
Brand Voice Development: Define and establish the company’s brand voice, ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
What You Bring
The Architect Mindset: You must demonstrate 5+ years of experience in Strategic Marketing, Journalism, or Science Communication, with a proven ability to design and execute strategic marketing/content roadmaps (3–6 months), including clear decision‑making, prioritization, and measurable outcomes.
Narrative Resilience: You are comfortable maintaining brand momentum even when scientific breakthroughs are stalled or information is restricted.
Zero "Spoon‑feeding": You possess high autonomy and the "relaxed but high‑quality" confidence typical of an Aussie startup vibe—informal but with elite standards.
Technical Literacy:
Exceptional copywriting skills (academic to "pitch" style) with a foundational understanding of CMS (Sanity) and Analytics (PostHog/Google Tags).
SEO Aptitude: Foundational SEO knowledge is a plus, as there is an opportunity to take full ownership of performance metrics.
Commercial Thinking: Ability to connect content strategy to business outcomes such as awareness, engagement, and conversion.
What You’ll Get
Meaningful work & Growth: We take every opportunity to stretch ourselves and deliver an excellent client experience.
Employee as our biggest asset: We are genuinely invested in our people’s career and welfare.
Global reach & local impact: Get to work with high‑growth startups and dynamic companies from the comfort of your own home.
Powering global startups: We’ve created 1,400 Filipino jobs that empower global start‑ups to focus on growth.
