Director of Strategic Sales and Marketing – Can be based out of any major US City

Tanner and Associates is recruiting a Director of Strategic Sales ad Marketing for a major Clinical Contract Research Organization. This job can be conducted from any major US City.
Description:
Develop and implement short- and long-range marketing and sales objectives, strategies and tactics required to meet the business’ growth.
Lead team in the value selling proposal.
Coordinate team’s regular interface and communication with the Sales team to relay shared goals and targets; develop co-strategies to achieve defined targets.
Responsible for key account development and maintaining relationships with existing client base.
Maintain high-level contact with key accounts.
Perform sales activities, including meeting with potential customers, making capabilities presentations, negotiating contract terms, and ensuring a timely and thorough new customer acquisition process.
Create, maintain and execute a marketing plan.
Liaise and assist in all aspects of new account development. Develop campaigns, pricing structures, and features and benefits.
Perform due diligence on potential new business opportunities.
May support sales and marketing efforts of partners/agents.
Manage the quotation and proposal process.
Develop and recommend departmental sales and marketing budget.
Develop short- and long-range operating objectives, organizational structure, and staffing requirements.
Ensure that training and development needs are identified and programs initiated.
Requirements:
B.A./B.S. and/or MBA or equivalent in Life Sciences or related scientific discipline.
Minimum eight to ten years related experience, including international sales.
Must have experience working in the biotech, pharmaceuticals, or lab services industries.
