Roles and responsibilities
The SEO Specialist has broad digital marketing knowledge with a strong expertise in SEO. Their primary responsibility will be to support clients with on-page and off-page optimization, technical SEO enhancements, and keyword-targeted content recommendations to drive organic visibility and rankings. The right person will also have broad understanding of digital marketing and the ability to perform basic cross-functional tasks within SEO, PPC, and content marketing.
Conduct keyword research and mapping
Optimize site structure, metadata, and content for search engines
Implement technical SEO improvements (site speed, crawlability, schema, etc.)
Set up reports and monitor rankings, organic traffic, and performance metrics
Execute competitor analysis and content gap analysis
Ability to draw insights and analysis from key metrics and performance
Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles
Build and maintain a strong local SEO presence
Recommend content opportunities to support SEO strategy
Collaborate with the Content Specialist for SEO-friendly copy
Make recommendations to the project manager and client for key optimization tactics
Execute tasks accurately and on time
Build reports and maintain client-facing dashboards and workbooks
Stay up-to-date with latest search engine trends and best practices
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Requirements
5+ years in SEO execution
Strong understanding of Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog
Proven track record improving search visibility and rankings
Comfortable in a client-facing role
Experience working with US-based small and mid-sized businesses
Experience with SE Ranking software a plus
