Director of Digital Sales & Marketing, Online Retail

• Location: Remote
An industry leader is seeking a dynamic, data-driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead our omnichannel strategy across key e-commerce platforms and national retail partners. This role owns the online retail revenue and brand performance across Amazon, Wayfair, and retail outlets—from sales leadership to paid media and channel growth.
You’ll drive the strategic vision for each sales channel and partner closely with executives on scaling revenue and elevating brand presence across platforms. This role requires a high degree of fluency in sales leadership, e-commerce performance marketing, and marketplace operations—combined with the leadership to align stakeholders around growth-driving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Omnichannel Sales Strategy & Growth Leadership

Own revenue, margin, and growth strategy across all digital and retail e-commerce platforms.
Set annual and quarterly sales goals by channel; lead planning, forecasting, and performance monitoring in collaboration with Finance and Executive teams.
Define differentiated channel strategies to drive sell-through, maximize exposure, and protect profitability.
Serve as the sales lead across all e-commerce and retail partner platforms.
Build and manage sales pipelines by platform, aligning promotional strategies, product positioning, and channel forecasts to sales goals.
Lead quarterly and annual sales planning, aligning cross-functional teams on key initiatives.
Cultivate strong relationships with retail partners to influence assortment, secure placements, and unlock cooperative marketing opportunities.
Monitor and improve platform account health (e.g., Amazon compliance metrics, policy violations, operational performance).
Performance Marketing

Lead paid media strategy and execution across all e-commerce retail platforms.
Guide budget allocation to maximize ROAS and contribution margin.
Oversee campaign development and performance analysis.
Own catalog structure and product syndication across platforms using PIM tools (e.g., Salsify).
Oversee onboarding and optimization of 300+ SKUs.
Drive scalable workflows across departments for content accuracy and customization.
Cross-Functional & Partner Leadership

Lead a growing sales and marketing team.
Align with Product, Creative, Operations, and CX teams to ensure smooth customer experiences.
Serve as lead point of contact for platform reps, agencies, and media vendors.
Analytics, Forecasting & Executive Reporting

Define KPIs across sales, marketing, inventory, and profitability.
Deliver regular insights to executive leadership using tools like Looker Studio and platform dashboards.
What We’re Looking For

8–10+ years of experience in e-commerce sales & marketing leadership.
Deep experience across Amazon, Wayfair, Home Depot, Walmart, Lowe’s, Costco, and Sam’s Club—including performance media and content management.
Hands-on experience in campaign execution and PIM systems (especially Salsify).
Understanding of fulfillment operations and vendor logistics.
Experience mentoring high-performing cross-functional teams.
Strategic and analytical mindset with strong execution capabilities.
Familiarity with advertising platforms and e-commerce operational tools.
