Compensation range: $2500 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote, so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: Our client is an Australian B2B eCommerce and lead-generation business selling commercial matting solutions nationwide. Their website plays a critical role in driving Direct online sales, Quote requests, Sample requests, & Inbound enquiries. They operate in the built environment and construction support space, working closely with commercial buyers, contractors, and project stakeholders. As the business grows, they are investing in strengthening their digital presence to drive measurable commercial outcomes.
Role Overview: We’re looking for a Search & Content Lead who will own and execute a content and SEO strategy focused on driving qualified organic traffic, online sales, and high‑quality inbound leads that influence revenue. This is a commercial SEO role, not just content creation; success is measured by business impact, not just rankings.
You’ll sit at the intersection of SEO, content, and conversion, responsible for improving the visibility and performance of key commercial pages. You’ll translate technical and product knowledge into clear, structured, high‑converting content that helps buyers make decisions. You’ll also work closely with internal subject‑matter experts and a senior external SEO consultant for guidance, QA, and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
SEO & Content Execution

Develop and execute SEO and content initiatives aligned with commercial goals

Focus on category pages, product pages, quote/sample pages, use‑case pages, comparisons, FAQs, and case studies

Create and optimise content that ranks and converts

Keyword & Search Strategy

Conduct keyword research and search intent analysis

Identify opportunities across non‑brand, high‑intent search queries

Improve visibility in both traditional and AI‑assisted search environments

Content Development & Optimisation

Translate technical information into clear, buyer‑friendly content

Continuously update and optimise existing pages for performance

Improve internal linking, page structure, and on‑page SEO

Expert Knowledge Extraction

Interview internal subject‑matter experts

Extract buyer questions, objections, and insights

Turn this into structured content that performs commercially

Performance Tracking & Reporting

Monitor SEO and content performance using GA4, Search Console, and other tools

Track metrics tied to business outcomes (not vanity metrics)

Deliver actionable insights and optimisation recommendations

Content and optimisation briefs

Published and updated pages

Expert interview summaries

Technical SEO tickets

Page‑level recommendations aligned to revenue goals

Growth in qualified organic leads

Support Structure

Own day‑to‑day execution

Collaborate with internal stakeholders

Work alongside a senior external SEO consultant for:

Strategy guidance

QA and feedback

Technical escalation

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial SEO and content strategy

Strong experience with category/product‑led content optimisation

Proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4) and Search Console

Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, etc.)

Strong content briefing, editing, and optimisation skills

Excellent written English (clear, structured, and persuasive)

Ability to translate data into actionable improvements

Close attention to detail and content accuracy

Comfortable working independently in a remote setup

Nice to Have

Experience in B2B, eCommerce, or technical industries

Exposure to AI search optimisation / structured content

Basic technical SEO understanding

Off‑page SEO knowledge (not required, but beneficial)
