Account Specialist

Boone County, located in Columbia, MO is looking for an Account Specialist.
Responsibilities:
Answers multiline phone system.
Works with client benefits including but not limited to Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP (Food Stamps), Energy Assistance, Medicare Extra Help, and Social Security.
Performs accounting and clerical duties as assigned including, but not limited to, data entry; issuing and balancing receipts; balancing deposits and reconciling accounts to bank statements; gathering paystubs, entering, and reporting client wages; responding to information requests, preparing correspondence; scanning and filing; compiling periodic reports; creating forms in Adobe.
Serves as back up to other clerical staff including but not limited to making deposits at the bank and picking up mail from Post Office.
Status: Full-time, non-exempt, benefited
Working hours: 8:00 a.m.

5:00 p.m., Monday

Friday
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; experience with Medicaid and Medicare benefits; one year of accounting or bookkeeping experience; experience in Microsoft Office and Adobe; and strong attention to detail.
Starting Hourly Salary: $20.30 - $20.92 per hour
