Customer Solutions Specialist

Responsibilities

You will maintain ongoing relationships with regional customers and sales staff by handling calls, correcting order issues, processing orders, and resolving product or service issues.

Process sales orders and changes, confirm shipment/delivery dates, and handle cancellations.

Provide specialty gas/supplies sales and support to customers, Customer Solutions Specialists, and the outside sales team.

You will use business software systems to retrieve customer information, verify inventory levels, and process orders.

Verify customer credit status and complete paperwork for issuing credits or debits.

You will provide quotes and assistance to the sales force and management within set parameters.

Suggest additional or alternative products and services to meet customer needs, following pricing guidelines.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with all internal Linde customers, meeting call center performance metrics.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; college or equivalent experience preferred.

Minimum of 2–4 years of customer service or in-store sales experience.

Prior industry experience with knowledge of company products such as hardgoods, welding supplies, industrial gas, specialty gas, and medical gas required.

Hands‑on experience in Specialty Gas/Hydrocarbon industries required.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications and Lotus Notes.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently, be self‑motivated, and work flexible hours.
