Audiovisual Service Technician (TS/SCI CI Poly)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an

Audiovisual Service Technician

to support missioncritical audiovisual systems in a highsecurity environment in Herndon, VA. This role provides handson AV troubleshooting, maintenance, and event support for senior leaders and operational teams. The ideal candidate is customerfocused, technically skilled, and comfortable working in highpressure environments requiring discretion and professionalism.

Work Environment:

Onsite role in Herndon, VA supporting classified audiovisual systems and executivelevel environments.

Responsibilities:

Perform onsite troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of audiovisual systems to ensure operational readiness.
Support meetings and events, including system setup, inmeeting assistance, and postevent teardown or support.
Perform daily AV system checks and preventative maintenance activities.
Provide inperson and remote technical support to end users.
Maintain and update system documentation, troubleshooting guides, and tickets using tools such as Jira or Confluence.
Provide user training on audiovisual systems and room technologies.
Escalate complex issues to engineering staff and collaborate on resolution.
Maintain current training certifications from manufacturers and industry organizations.
Attend daily engineering and operations meetings to coordinate support activities.
Ensure adherence to change management processes for AV system updates and modifications.
Maintain a professional demeanor while supporting senior officials in timesensitive or highvisibility environments.
Qualifications:
An active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph is required.
3-5+ year of related audiovisual or technical support experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience installing and troubleshooting AV systems from vendors such as Biamp, QSC, Cisco, Crestron, Extron, and Thinklogical.
Ability to travel to multiple job sites as needed, sometimes using a company vehicle.
Valid driver's license required.
Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods (6-8 hours per day).
Ability to climb ladders up to 15 feet and navigate stairs regularly.
Ability to bend, twist, squat, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
Ability to work in equipment rooms, conference spaces, and secure facilities.
Clearance Requirement:
Active

TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph

required.
Preferred:

AVIXA CTS certification.
Manufacturer certifications or advanced experience with Biamp, QSC, Cisco, Crestron, Extron, or Thinklogical.
Education or background in electronics or a related technical field.
Compensation:

Pay range: $120,000 - $160,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
