The Opportunity
With ambitious growth plans, the business is nowseekingtoappoint a newSales Directorto join the senior leadership team.
TheSalesDirector will report to theManaging Directorand will be supported bya team in the UK and Europe,aswell as by sales agents in key territoriesincluding China,Koreaand Japan.
We are looking for candidates with experience in all aspects of planning and implementing sales strategy to deliver sales growth within the fashion/luxury products in international markets.
With a passion for luxury fashion, a comprehensive knowledge of the industry and strong commercial acumen, you will drive theTodd & Duncanbrand to achieve its strategic target ofachievingfurther growth.
Role responsibilities
The individual will hold overall accountability for the development and performance of thesalesfunctionalong with the following responsibilities:
Contribute as part of the Senior Leadership Team to raising performance of the overall business.
Development of a commercial strategy considering opportunities, customerinsightsand investmentreturns.
Management of key accounts to drive growth anddevelopmentof new clients
Identifyopportunities for further collaboration with UK textiles partners
Provide supportive leadershipto the commercial team to supportthebusiness’strategicobjectivesand continually improve towards best practice acrossthe sales function
Present weekly/monthly reports to the Board on commercial performance asrequired
Candidate requirements
The successful candidate willpossessmost of the following:
Business degree, ideally an MBA
Experience of operating in a seniorcommercialrole within a technicaltextilesenvironment,ideallywith an understanding of yarn production processes
Proventrack recordwith global customers, and strong connections with the relevant buyers
Inclusive and collaborative style – able to work in matrix organisations, connecting people and best-practices.
