Position Overview
This position supports the planning and completion of educational, outreach or professional programs; working with program staff, students, the public and/or agencies, to plan and oversee program activities. May lead a distinct area for the program such as outreach, assessment or financial management.
Responsibilities
Participate in the development and implementation of program deliverables, services and activities
Coordinate a team with a variety array of talents and responsibilities
Collect, compile, and summarize program data for reports
Participate in developing program operating goals, objectives and protocols
Maintain program budgets, monitoring and reviewing transactions for compliance with program requirements
Active participation in the development and submission of program proposals
Lead collection and compilation of program assessment data
May supervise the work of others or lead a team to accomplish assigned goals
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree; four additional years of experience in program coordination (for a total of six years) may substitute for a Bachelor’s Degree
Required Other
Ability to obtain membership in appropriate professional organizations
Ability to travel and to work selected evenings and/or weekends
Additional Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Education, General Studies, Communication or related field
Master’s Degree in Education, General Studies, Communications or related field
Working with high school students in a mentorship capacity
Experience with student outreach and support
Working collaboratively and independently and accurately on detailed tasks
Experience maintaining organizational skills including the ability to prioritize activities and flexibility to adjust priorities as circumstances dictate
Project or program management
Supervising the work of others
Processing financial transactions
Collecting data and compiling routine management reports
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move up to 20 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Pay Range: $28.34 per hour or higher depending on education and experience
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
