Capital One seeks an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Campaign Specialist for the US Card Business. The role focuses on consulting with strategy leads to design journeys, build audiences, and test campaigns to drive modernization of owned‑digital channel marketing.

Responsibilities

Partner with Marketing Strategy leads to design, streamline and optimize Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) journeys, including building and filtering audiences.

Design and execute cross‑channel SFMC journeys based on marketer requirements.

Apply personalization and marketing automation expertise to infuse best practices around dynamic email content and segmentation rules.

Collaborate with CapitalOne MarTech leads for new capability development, platform integrations, and omni‑channel execution.

Advocate a transformative mindset across the team.

Build a network of help and strong relationships across partners (business, creative, martech, data, operations).

Key Characteristics

Expertise in email marketing best practices with global multi‑audience campaigns in SFMC, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Data Extensions.

Experience building dynamic, personalized campaigns using AMPscript and SQL, automation for marketing, analysis, and system maintenance.

Stays current on industry best practices, emerging SFMC trends, and connects martech capabilities to marketing possibilities.

Combines analytics and qualitative data to formulate journey orchestration strategy and actionable plans.

Troubleshoots technical or process issues.

Builds, optimizes, and documents technical processes to empower marketing teams.

Flexibility between marketer/practitioner and transformation thought leader.

Analyzes campaign performance, offering actionable optimization insights.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communicator and relationship builder influencing decision makers.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military experience.

At least 3 years of experience planning, building, and analyzing marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

At least 3 years of experience leveraging SQL queries to build target audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of journey orchestration experience in Financial Services or other regulated industry.

3+ years experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hightouch, or other CDP and enterprise MAPs.

3+ years of experience working with cross‑functional teams in a matrixed environment with autonomous work and navigating ambiguity.

2+ years of Workfront or other project management system usage.

2+ years of Risk Management experience.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications: Administrator, Developer, and/or Email Specialist.

BPM, Lean, PMP Certifications.

Experience writing and editing SSJS.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary ranges vary by location. Examples: Chicago, IL $109,900 – $125,400; McLean, VA $120,800 – $137,900; New York, NY $131,800 – $150,500; Richmond, VA $109,900 – $125,400; Riverwoods, IL $109,900 – $125,400. The role is eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
