Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities ( SE&TC ) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a Strategic Extended Threat Shield (SETS) Radar Technical Illustrator. In this exciting role, you’ll showcase your expertise by creating high-quality illustrations that are critical to the development of comprehensive Technical Manuals (TMs) for the innovative SETS Radar System. Collaborating closely with a talented team of writers and illustrators, you will contribute to the creation of operational and maintenance manuals that support the functionality and success of this advanced defense system. What You’ll Do

Develop the illustrations for the Technical Manuals, including material addressing system functional theory, operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, schematics, and illustrated parts breakdowns from compiled engineering technical reports, drawings, and parts lists.

Maintain technical aptitude and demonstrate a self‑driven approach.

Follow established guidelines and standards.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

Experience with Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Creo View, and/or other editing tool programs.

Experience with engineering schematics and/or drawings.

Security Clearance Requirements

Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to start date.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Security Clearance Type : Secret – Current

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with the Eagle Publishing System, MIL Standard 40051 or S1000D.

Experience with XML and Common PDM.

Experience working in a cross‑functional team, with a strong ability to communicate effectively within a geographically dispersed team.

Agile mindset with the ability to pivot when circumstances change or direction is set.

Basic experience with 3D modeling applications.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Salary range: 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD.
