Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a fully cleared Web Developer to support an enterprise IT program. The position requires full stack web development support specializing in user experience design, user interface design, development, and maintenance of Joomla and WordPress websites. The selected candidate will be responsible for both the design and development of assigned projects.

In this role you will
work closely within a business environment to provide quality visualization and publishing services in support of corporate communication requirements for a community”wide client base. The Web Developer will work independently to maintain systems, workflows, and project schedules, and collaborate with in”house team members and client subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess requirements and provide creative and robust website experiences that are technically sound and cost recoverable. They will design user interfaces (UI) and employ industry standard user experience (UX) methodologies to create intuitive experiences. They will produce properly structured and tested websites that are Section 508 compliant, apply Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards, provide recommendations on multimedia and communication design, and conduct focus groups and user testing to define requirements. They will document requirements, develop concept wireframes and prototypes, test, deploy, and maintain Joomla and WordPress sites. They will also participate in biweekly team meetings on project status and resolution of inhibitors, provide status reports, monitor expenditures, contribute production data, and interface directly with customers as a technical SME while coordinating with Infrastructure and Project Management teams.

Required Security Clearance

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education

Bachelor’s degree and at least 15+ years of experience

Demonstrated experience in Joomla and WordPress site information architecture design, visual design, and site administration.

Demonstrated experience with end user-focused UX methodologies including conducting focus groups and user testing, building intuitive information architecture, and developing conceptual wireframes and prototypes.

Demonstrated experience designing and supporting Joomla Extension or Module creation.

Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting Joomla websites.

Demonstrated experience in development of custom Joomla modules and components (e.g. news, login, search, filtering).

Demonstrated experience in development of custom Joomla plugins to override core functionality (e.g. contact forms, events, appointments).

Demonstrated experience in Joomla extension development (i.e. components, modules, plugins, and templates).

Demonstrated experience in generating template creation and integration.

Demonstrated experience with Gantry, Helix, and T4 Joomla frameworks.

Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting WordPress websites.

Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting database-driven websites.

Demonstrated experience developing websites and applications meeting Section 508 standards for accessibility and usability as well as privacy and copyright compliance.

Demonstrated experience testing with multiple forms of assistive technology tools (JAWS, NVDA, ZoomText) and browser specific technologies (Lighthouse, JAWS Inspect, WAVE, ARC Tool)

Demonstrated experience with Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) and its proper use, understanding and implementation of WCAG 2.1 standards, web accessibility auditing and remediation, and understanding impacts of accessibility on disabled users.

Demonstrated experience developing, debugging, maintaining and enhancing code such as HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and YAML.

Demonstrated experience managing multiple web development projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated experience working closely with graphic, interactive, UX, and UI designers to translate designs into “pixel”‑perfect responsive websites, apps, HTML emails, and interactive experiences.

Demonstrated experience to quickly customize out of the box plugins to meet the User Interface design intent.

Demonstrated experience testing, debugging, evaluating, and building code that works across multiple browsers and digital platforms, ensuring it is valid, properly structured, and meets requirements and industry standards.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Education

Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, supporting enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS) or Knowledge Management Systems (KMS).

Demonstrated experience implementing complex visual styles via HTML5 or Bootstrap.

Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and maintaining user authentication methods.

Demonstrated experience with SharePoint Site Collection Administration (SCA).

Demonstrated experience using authoring or scripting languages.

Demonstrated experience programming using PHP.

Demonstrated experience with preprocessor scripting language tools (SASS or LESS).

Demonstrated experience working within a working capital fund business enterprise.

Pay Range
Pay Range $134,550.00”–$243,225.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
