Position Summary
Maintain and grow revenue through multi-channel direct marketing disciplines that include direct mail, email, telemarketing, mobile, digital and other media channels. Oversee development and management of all donor fundraising campaigns and analysis for the purpose of retention and upgrade of donor giving. Responsibilities also include website, social media management, creation of digital assets and marketing collateral for the Salvation Army Orange County. This position will supervise and manage Communications Assistant. Work under the direction of the Director of Development.

Essential Functions

Lead efforts for design and creative strategy for all digital, video and print marketing campaigns and overall company branding, including content creation and email marketing.

Work with digital agencies to execute the most efficient and effective mix of paid media, including PPC, SEO, SEM re‑targeting, and programmatic.

Maintain analytics reports on campaign performance across platforms and track KPIs.

Plan and monitor social media campaigns across our digital channels – Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Work with leadership to develop and monitor the digital marketing budget, ensuring all campaigns fall within budget.

Create and maintain The Salvation Army Orange County portfolio of websites.

Manage our digital fundraising campaigns on the GoFundMe fundraising platform. Manage Communications assistant, while promoting growth and development.

Execute strategic email campaigns with segmented audiences for donor retention and acquisition.

Design and oversee all printed and digital materials for internal and external distribution.

Additional Responsibilities

Responsible for comprehensive strategic development of direct response fundraising programs including direct mail, telemarketing, internet‑based appeals, mobile and other direct marketing mediums.

Develop, create, and execute marketing efforts in cross‑functional teams across the county.

Maintain brand consistency with all marketing efforts across the county.

Lead weekly Marketing Department meetings to collaborate and maintain consistency within department.

Work with development department to execute the annual gala, Night for Others. Duties include invitation design and implementation, digital advertising, and all other event duties.

Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Must be able to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to accurately gauge colors and view detailed graphics.

Pay Rate
PAY RATE: $23.00-$25.00/hr.

Minimum Qualifications

By virtue of its direct contact with, and representation to people who engage in Salvation Army programs, people who demonstrate an understanding of The Salvation Army’s mission are required for this position

Bachelor’s Degree required.

4+ years in similar marketing roles with experience in website and social media content creation and posting.

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English proficiently.

Must be in good health, capable of meeting the demands of the position.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premier.

Proficient in Google Analytics and Google Suite, as well as Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint.

Experience with website creation tools, social media, and printed/digital advertising.

Must have excellent writing and editing skills.

If working in vicinity of children a criminal background check is required with certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures.

Must have ability to work with, direct, and relate well with co‑workers, community members, and guests/clients.

Able to function in a fast‑paced, frequently changing environment.
