Social Media Specialist
About the Role
The Social Media Specialist will play a key role in developing and executing engaging social media strategies across multiple platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, X, Reddit, and emerging channels.
This role combines creativity with strategy and analytics. You'll be responsible for building social media calendars, creating compelling content, managing online communities, supporting paid social campaigns, tracking performance metrics, and identifying opportunities to grow engagement and brand awareness.
The ideal candidate understands internet culture, social trends, audience behavior, and platform best practices, while also being highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven. You should be comfortable balancing creative storytelling with performance-focused thinking and enjoy working collaboratively in an agency setting.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and execute organic and paid social media campaigns across multiple platforms
Create engaging social content including captions, graphics, stories, reels, short-form videos, and campaign messaging
Build and maintain monthly social media content calendars for client accounts
Collaborate with creative, media, and account teams to support integrated campaign strategies
Monitor trends, viral content, platform updates, and emerging social media best practices
Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and audience interactions in a professional and brand-aligned manner
Assist with social media advertising campaigns including audience targeting, campaign optimization, and creative testing
Analyze campaign and content performance using analytics tools and platform insights
Build client-facing reports highlighting audience growth, engagement, reach, and campaign results
Brainstorm and contribute innovative content ideas and campaign concepts
Coordinate with design and video teams to create high-performing, social-first content assets
Support influencer partnerships, creator collaborations, and promotional campaigns when applicable
Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to improve content performance and engagement
What We're Looking For
2+ years of experience managing social media accounts, campaigns, or digital content for brands or agencies
Strong understanding of major social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and X
Experience developing social content calendars and managing multiple accounts simultaneously
Familiarity with paid social advertising platforms including Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
Strong copywriting and communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging across brands and audiences
Understanding of social media analytics, audience engagement, and content performance metrics
Experience with community management and audience interaction strategies
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time-management skills
Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to stay ahead of social and digital trends
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar creative tools is a plus
Basic video editing and short-form content creation experience preferred
Photography, videography, influencer marketing, or paid social experience is a plus
