Senior Production Engineer (Houston)

One of Brunel's major oil & gas owner operators are looking to bring a Senior Production Engineer into their team on a 1 year contract to start with. It would in the Uptown Houston area.

Key responsibilities include:
· Drive production optimization using surveillance and Integrated Production Model (IPM) tools.
· Assess value and technical risk of opportunities and optimize scope and delivery
· Manage well integrity and track quarterly KPIs
· Engage with vendors as needed on technical scope, project execution and delivery
· Develop cost estimates and manage project execution
· Support the management of scale, asphaltene and hydrate risks, and implement field flow assurance strategies
· Prepare control documentation (e.g. Basis of Design) to support key decisions
· Support short-term forecasting, production outlooks and the allocation process
· Ensure timely delivery of the overall production engineering work scope
· Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to engineers within the team

Required experience
· Experience in production operations, optimization and stimulation experience in deepwater oil fields
· Experience in production surveillance and performance monitoring to identify and remediate production constraints including subsea and topsides debottlenecking efforts. Experience with gas lift and subsea pumps.
· Experience in nodal analysis and integrated field modeling, including application of nodal analysis for real-time virtual metering using Digital Oil Field applications including GAP, PROSPER and RESOLVE. Familiarity with well test analysis
· Experience managing scale, hydrate and asphaltene issues in deepwater oil fields with strong understanding of flow assurance
· Performing project economic evaluation and analysis with ability to connect operational impact to business performance.
