Clearwater Recreation Commission – Clearwater, KS

The Clearwater Recreation Commission is seeking an energetic and community-driven Director of Recreation to lead and grow youth and adult recreation programs in Clearwater.

This leadership role is ideal for someone with experience in recreation management, youth sports, community programming, athletic administration, or related fields who is passionate about building strong community connections and creating positive experiences for local families.

Responsibilities Include:

Overseeing year-round recreation and sports programs

Coordinating leagues, events, facilities, and schedules

Recruiting and supporting coaches, officials, and volunteers

Promoting programs through community outreach and social media

Managing budgets, reporting, and administrative operations

Collaborating with schools, community organizations, and the CRC Board

Assisting with long‑term recreation and facility planning

Work towards executing overall plans and goals of the board

Preferred Qualifications

Recreation, sports management, education, or related experience

Leadership or management experience

Strong communication and organizational skills

Passion for youth development and community engagement

Evening and weekend availability required during sports seasons and special events.
