The selected candidate will implement individualized behavior intervention plans, focusing on behavior management, skill acquisition, emotional regulation, and enhancing independence in daily living activities. This role requires a calm and confident professional who is adept at behavior reduction strategies and crisis intervention, committed to fostering positive outcomes in a residential care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized ABA-based support to one resident within a group home
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with fidelity
- Provide consistent support throughout daily routines and community activities
- Collect and document data on targeted behaviors and skill progress
- Utilize approved strategies for de-escalation and crisis prevention
- Assist with development of life skills including hygiene, communication, and social interaction
- Collaborate with supervising Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and residential staff
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required
- Experience supporting individuals with high behavioral needs
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles and behavior reduction techniques
- Comfortable with crisis prevention and intervention methods
- Reliable, patient, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Committed to accurate documentation and protocol adherence
Schedule & Details:
- Approximately 15 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling options including afternoons, evenings, or weekends based on client needs
- Consistent assignment providing 1:1 support to the same individual
