Job Scope
The Sales Account Manager will drive and support sales efforts in a designated territory, implementing GenScript’s custom life science services sales and marketing strategies.

Likely in Research Triangle Park, the role requires residency ideally within the Durham, NC area.

Estimated salary: $80,000 - $95,000, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Work with the District Sales Lead (DSL) and Technical Account Managers (TAMs) to grow and develop the assigned sales territory.

Promote GenScript’s custom life science service lines and achieve sales goals for the territory.

Collaborate with DSL, TAM, and Sales teams to build the GenScript brand.

Allocate time 50% to account management, quote and lead follow-up, and 50% to field travel for customer visits and virtual meetings.

Develop and implement territory sales strategies for services, new markets, and applications.

Coordinate with DSL, TAM, and Regional Manager to secure business opportunities.

Understand customers’ research applications and match GenScript’s services to projects.

Provide market knowledge to Sales, TAM, and Marketing teams via weekly feedback reports.

Introduce GenScript to new researchers and companies in the industry.

Qualifications

Strong scientific background:

Bachelor's degree or above in life science or equivalent experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience in scientific or life science sales.

Knowledge of the Biological, CRO, CDMO, or general biotech industry; preference for Gene Synthesis, Protein, Peptide, Bioassays, Antibody, and Cell Line Products/Services.

Lab experience preferred.

Ability to operate effectively in an international business environment.
