Job Description
Serves as liaison between project management and planning teams, line management, contracting, finance, scheduling, engineering, and any other entities that interact with the F‑16 Technical Order Development execution team.
Prepares basis of estimate (BOE) for input to contract proposals. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects, reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client‑satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers and clients.
Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
Effects of decisions may be long‑lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results could result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources.
Regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards and is considered an expert in this field within the organization.
Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans and objectives.
Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
Desired Skills
Familiarity with Aeronautics Proposal Tool Suite (APTS) – a plus.
Familiarity with production of basis of estimates (BOE).
Familiarity with accounting and finance data.
Knowledge of supplier, sub‑contractor evaluation and negotiations.
Knowledge of materials management.
Must be a self‑starter.
Ability to Work Remotely
Part‑time remote telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their schedule remotely and part of their schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
