Role Overview
CNBC Digital Video is looking for a news‑obsessed, jack‑of‑all‑trades producer for its News and Programming team. The producer will create, curate, and post short‑form business, markets, and political videos across CNBC.com and other digital platforms, supporting the CNBC Investing Club and other short‑form content.
Main Responsibilities
Cover several hours of TV programming each day, selecting and clipping compelling moments.
Post curated clips on CNBC.com and other platforms, ensuring accurate headlines, descriptions, server‑friendly metadata, and SEO optimization.
Coordinate daily with TV producers and digital editorial teams to capture relevant content.
Shoot, script, edit, and produce news‑focused short‑form videos for CNBC’s Pro and Investing Club audiences.
Collaborate with reporters and the team to create reporter‑led video analysis tied to timely news.
Serve as a primary substitute for the early‑morning shift (starting at 6 am) and occasionally for the 12 pm‑8 pm shift.
Maintain error‑free copy and meticulous attention to detail throughout the cycle.
Work with the team to produce short‑ and long‑form original digital videos as needed.
Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in a fast‑paced digital or TV newsroom.
Strong writing skills and solid news judgment.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and multi‑hour shifts.
Pro‑ficiency with Adobe Premiere for video editing.
Presence of a strong portfolio of recent work (clips, explainer videos, social videos, reels).
Willingness to work non‑traditional hours and at least three days a week in‑person at CNBC’s Englewood Cliffs campus.
Desired Characteristics
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud apps (Photoshop, After Effects).
Familiarity shooting with Canon or Sony cinema/DSLR cameras in field and studio settings.
Experience with content management systems, SEO, and video distribution.
Knowledge of Riverside, WildMoka, or comparable livestream tools.
