Job Objective & Safety/Security Sensitive Designation

JOB OBJECTIVE: To manage and support the execution of public relations initiatives that align with the strategic priorities of the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) by building and maintaining a positive public image for Little Rock as a tourism and meetings destination, enhancing the visibility of LRCVB, and supporting its partners through proactive media relations and compelling storytelling initiatives.
This is a Safety-Sensitive Job for Purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.
This position is not considered Essential Personnel under the LRCVB Inclement Weather policy.

Minimum Qualifications, Additional Requirements and Supervisory Responsibilities

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field and three (3) years of professional-level work experience in public relations or media relations, preferably in tourism, hospitality or destination marketing. Agency experience or hospitality background preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position. Must show proof of valid automobile insurance before being approved to drive any LRCVB vehicle. Must be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends as required. This position may require one or more of the following pre-employment screenings: drug and alcohol screening, or background investigation. Four (4) plans to choose from: Base Plan; Buy-up 1 Plan, Buy-up 2 Plan or High Deductible
Base Plan: $3,000 deductible (in network), $40 co-pay for PCP - $70 co-pay for specialist; Prescription co-pays: $0, $20, $40, $80 co-pay, $200 Rx deductible for Tier 2, 3, 4
Buy-up 1 Plan: $2,000 deductible (in network), $30 co-pay for PCP - $60 co-pay for specialist; Prescription co-pays: $15, $45, $70, $70 co-pay; no additional Rx deductible.
Buy-up 2 Plan: $1,000 deductible (in network), $25 co-pay for PCP - $50 co-pay for specialist; Prescription co-pays: $15, $45, $70, $70 co-pay; no additional Rx deductible.

Maximum of $1,000 annual benefit per person per calendar year

Vision Insurance – Emp: $4.02; Emp & Spouse: $7.64, Emp & Child: $8.24 and Family: $11.74 per pay period
Delta Vision - $0 deductible – co-pays and allowances; $10 co-pay for well vision exam (once every 12 months) plus $20 co-pay for materials lenses & frames or contact lens fitting & evaluation
$150 allowance for frames (once every 24-month frames/12-month lenses)
Or – Contact Lens - $150 allowance for contacts
Effective 1st of the month following 30 days of regular full-time employment
Life Insurance – LRCVB pays employee premium (dependent life not offered)
2 times annual salary rounded to the nearest thousands of coverage to a maximum of $350,000

Accidental Death and Dismemberment – LRCVB pays employee premium
2 times annual salary rounded to the nearest thousands of coverage

Long Term Disability – LRCVB pays employee premium

Short Term Disability – Voluntary employee pays premium

Pension – Automatic enrollment, effective the first day of regular full-time employment
Defined Benefits Plan: 4.5% employee contribution/9% employer contribution
Vested after 5 years of service; Normal retirement age is 65.
