Job Overview
The Multimedia Producer is responsible for the development and production of promotional content for news and commercials including TV, radio, digital and local events. This position requires the ability to write scripts, do camera work in studio and on field, edit video and audio, and manipulate design and motion graphics. Candidates need to be well versed in conceptualization, storytelling and able to maximize usage of multimedia resources. An applicant should take a project from start to finish with minimal supervision, be social media savvy and have knowledge of content production for online and digital outlets. Most importantly, the perfect candidate should have good attitude, be proactive and work well in a fast paced-deadline driven environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and produce promotional content for news and commercials across TV, radio, digital platforms, and local events.
Write scripts, film in studio and on field, edit video and audio, and create design and motion graphics.
Conceptualize and tell stories that maximize use of multimedia resources.
Take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
Engage with social media and produce content for online and digital outlets.
Maintain a proactive, positive attitude in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications
Functional to advanced knowledge of Avid editing systems and media management.
Proficiency with Adobe CC suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition).
Experience with professional camcorders and DSLRs (Canon, Panasonic, Sony).
Field production knowledge: lighting, audio recording and gear.
Experience with green screen and studio production environments.
Knowledge of news gathering tools such as VisualFX, VizRT (plus); workflow tools like vCreative, Smartsheet (plus).
Knowledge of 3D animation with Cinema 4D (plus).
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
PC and MAC computer skills.
Proficient in written and oral Spanish and English.
Physical ability to stand, walk, sit for up to 8 hours; ability to lift 50 lbs.
Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Willingness to work from office in Austin, TX.
Meet eligibility requirements: verified employment/education, authorized to work in the United States full-time, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, clean driving record.
