Senior Foreign Disclosure Officer

The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the Senior Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO), and career corporate knowledge expert for foreign disclosure in the Foreign Disclosure Air Force Security Assistance, Airman Development Command (MAJCOM); and to plan, direct, and develop goals and objectives that integrate organization planning, programming, acquisition for assigned international programs. Mentors and oversees an integrated network of trained disclosure experts at all MAJCOM wing/group-level technical and flying training organizations. Develops command-wide disclosure policies, programs, and procedures to implement national, Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force and Command decisions to release or restrict release of classified and controlled unclassified information, equipment, or data to foreign nations and international organizations. Acts as senior analyst and policy expert for advanced weapons systems, technologies, capabilities, and information disclosure issues. Manages DoD International Visits Program under the Foreign Visits System for the Command and all aspects for assignment of international airmen to MAJCOM supporting the USAF Military Personnel Exchange Program (MPEP), Country Liaison Officers (CLO), guest instructors, Administrative and Professional Exchange Program (APEP), Engineer and Scientist Exchange Program (ESEP), and Cooperative Partner Program (CPP) personnel. Provides direct oversight of USAF policy concerning assignment on international airmen; develops, negotiates, and coordinates memoranda for exchange positions of foreign air force personnel in MAJCOM; and functions as the MAJCOM liaison to Air Staff for all international airmen assigned to MAJCOM units.
Plans, develops, and implements foreign disclosure procedures and provides direction and guidance on assigned international programs to MAJCOM personnel.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Reviews visits and re-delegates visits originating from the Foreign Visit System (FVS)
Reviews and approves classified and unclassified export-controlled documents and information
Directs and approves all aspects of the assignment of foreign Airmen within MAJCOM, including USAF
Represents the USAF, either solely, or as a team chief or as a team member, at all conference or planning meetings consisting of DoD, Headquarters USAF, MILDEP, and Major Commands representatives
