Vice President of Communications & Content

Vice President of Communications & Content Choose Chicago is seeking a strategic, innovative, and highly collaborative Vice President of Communications & Content to lead the organization's communications, media relations, content, social media, and storytelling efforts in support of Chicago's reputation as a premier visitor destination, meetings destination, and cultural capital. The role is responsible for developing and executing communications strategies that promote Choose Chicago's mission, brand platform, strategic priorities, and organizational goals.
Choose Chicago is the official destination marketing organization for Chicago, Illinois, whose mission is to bring regional, national, and international business, group, and leisure visitors to Chicago for the economic benefit of the City, the community, and our industry partners.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Vice President will lead a high-performing team responsible for earned media, owned channels, social media, executive communications, crisis communications, original content development, and integrated campaign amplification. This role will help shape how Chicago is seen, experienced, and talked about across consumer, corporate, tourism, meetings, civic, and community audiences.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader and strategic communicator who can balance reputation management, media relations, modern content production, audience growth, and operational discipline. This role requires strong public speaking and presentation skills, proven management experience, sound judgment, and the ability to lead in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.
