We are now scaling a best-in-class content marketing and organic growth engine to match our leadership in commerce.

The Role

We are hiring a Head of Content Marketing / Content Director to build and lead a modern content marketing engine that drives SEO rankings, AI search visibility (AEO), organic traffic, audience growth, and conversion.

This is not a traditional editorial or copywriting role.

This is a strategic leadership role focused on what we publish, why it matters, and how it drives measurable business outcomes.

You will own content strategy, SEO, AEO, editorial direction, and content systems—turning deep category expertise into a scalable growth engine.

What You’ll Own

  • Build and lead a content marketing strategy tied to traffic, conversion, and revenue
  • Define content thesis, audience segments, and topic priorities
  • Decide what we publish, optimize, update, or eliminate
  • Establish and maintain a clear, differentiated brand voice
  • Ensure all content ladders to business outcomes

SEO, AEO & Organic Growth

  • Own organic growth strategy across Google and AI-driven search platforms
  • Lead SEO, AEO, and GEO initiatives (structured data, entity-based SEO, AI visibility)
  • Build keyword and topic databases grounded in real consumer behavior
  • Ensure the company becomes a primary cited source in AI search results

Content Marketing Systems & Operations

  • Build the content operating system: editorial calendar, topic database, content inventory, and briefs
  • Create scalable workflows from strategy through distribution and measurement
  • Eliminate redundant or low-value content through structured systems

Editorial Quality & Brand Voice

  • Set and enforce editorial standards across all channels
  • Edit and approve content for SEO, email, paid media, and landing pages
  • Maintain and evolve brand voice and editorial guidelines

Content Distribution & Audience Growth

  • Extend content across blog, video, email, and social
  • Partner with marketing on lifecycle and acquisition strategy
  • Build content ecosystems, not one-off assets
  • Manage and develop an in-house copywriter
  • Direct external contributors and subject-matter experts
  • Set performance standards and elevate output quality
  • Define where AI accelerates work and where human judgment is required

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years in content strategy, content marketing, SEO, or organic growth
  • Experience as a Head of Content, Content Director, or similar leadership role
  • Proven track record of building organic traffic and audience growth tied to revenue
  • Deep expertise in SEO and content marketing strategy
  • Strong understanding of AI search and AEO (or strong exposure)
  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to shape brand voice
  • Experience building content systems, workflows, and scalable processes
  • Data-driven mindset focused on business outcomes
  • Experience managing writers, editors, or contributors

Ideal Backgrounds

  • Head of Content or Content Director at a high-growth DTC or e-commerce company
  • Content leaders from modern media or digital-first businesses
  • Growth-focused content leaders with strong SEO and audience development experience

Luxury or high-consideration product experience is a plus, but not required.
