About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Fundraising and Development to spearhead the creation and execution of a regional fundraising plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and nurturing relationships with a diverse range of supporters, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government entities. This role involves the development of a regional schedule of activities, a robust pipeline of proposal submissions, and the management of various fundraising, community, and partnership events. The Vice President will also work closely with the Executive Director to promote the company in the region and ensure that all development activities are accurately recorded in the company's database.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' high-level fundraising experience, with a Master's degree in a related field being preferable. Experience or knowledge of the workforce development community and its funders is essential. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record of building relationships with senior leaders in major corporations, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly organized, and possess excellent communication skills. The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a virtual team, as well as a positive, can-do attitude with a sense of urgency, are also key attributes. Experience in developing and managing a board of senior leaders is a plus.
