Director of Business Information Delivery
About your role
As a Director of Business Information Delivery, you will lead data and application capabilities that support Global Business Solutions (GBS) Merchant Services portfolios. You will partner with product, technology, and business leaders to deliver data solutions that drive merchant retention, cross‑sales, and strategic portfolio decisions. You will ensure data accuracy, robust governance, and resilient platforms that enable reliable reporting and insights for our clients and internal teams.
What you'll do
Lead the design, development, and support of business data applications supporting Merchant Services portfolios, including web‑based data products and reporting platforms
Manage application development, release management, incident management, problem management, and change management for business data solutions
Oversee performance management and capacity management for assigned applications to maintain stability, scalability, and service‑level commitments
Direct vulnerability management activities across the unit’s infrastructure and applications, ensuring remediation is implemented and tracked
Develop, implement, and optimize high‑quality database solutions, including stored procedures and functions using Transact‑SQL (T‑SQL) on Microsoft SQL Server
Build, maintain, and enhance extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and robust data models to support reporting and analytics
Review and interpret ongoing business reporting requirements, research required data, and build appropriate, timely, and accurate reporting deliverables
Analyze existing SQL queries and data processes to identify and implement performance improvements and efficiencies
Develop procedures and scripts for data migration and integration between systems while maintaining data quality and controls
Lead cross‑functional Agile product development efforts, partnering with business and technology teams to prioritize work, define scope, and deliver capabilities with speed and quality
Define and refine engineering processes and practices, including version control, build pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews to drive engineering excellence
Build, motivate, and develop a high‑performing team focused on delivering client‑centric solutions and measurable outcomes
Experience you'll need to have
8+ years of experience leading software or data engineering teams delivering database, reporting, or analytics solutions in financial services, payments, or a similar environment
8+ years of experience designing and developing database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, T‑SQL, data models, and complex stored procedures in a production setting
6+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or comparable tools to move and transform data across systems
6+ years of experience with full‑stack or back‑end software development concepts, including data structures, resilient services, and cloud‑based deployment and scaling practices
6+ years of experience managing and developing teams, including setting goals, coaching associates, and building collaborative, results‑focused cultures
Demonstrated experience implementing and improving engineering practices such as version control, continuous integration and delivery pipelines, automated testing, and structured code reviews
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have
Experience in merchant acquiring, payment processing, or broader fintech services
Experience guiding distributed or geographically dispersed teams to deliver software through rapid iteration with strong quality controls
Hands‑on experience with Agile frameworks (for example, Scrum or Kanban) in a product‑led environment
Experience leading performance, capacity, and vulnerability management efforts for data or application platforms
How you'll work
This role is on‑site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in‑person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in‑person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

Salary Range
$111,000.00‑$157,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
