Athletics Video Technology Specialist III (Director Of Video Analytics)
The Athletics Video Technology Specialist III (Director of Video Analytics) for the University of Louisville Women's Basketball program manages all aspects of internal video-related activities and operations. This position also has on-court coaching responsibilities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring all video, equipment, and technical needs are met for the women's basketball coaching staff. Coordinates all technology operations for staff.
Manage all video-related activities for the team, including the coordination, management, and video analysis of practice, opponents, and game film for study, development, and scouting purposes.
Responsible for the development of analytics of player performance for the Women's Basketball team, as well as opponents, including the monitoring of statistical trends of lineup combinations and communication of data prior to and during competitions.
Plan and coordinate the development of individual player video edits of upcoming opponents, including analysis of performance tendencies.
Create and maintain an extensive database and video library for all plays, including written diagrams and video supplements, with the ability to reference and communicate such information to the coaching staff, as required.
Conceptualize and design, with input from coaching staff, videotaping plan with regard to camera positions and assignments during practices and games.
Supervise, manage, and mentor the assigned graduate students and student managers, assisting with filming duties.
Oversee maintenance of all women's basketball technology to ensure equipment is operating properly. Perform routine maintenance on equipment that includes troubleshooting and maintenance of video equipment and software.
Manage multiple projects concurrently, working within scheduling requirements, ability to produce creative work on tight deadlines.
May have on-court coaching and instruction responsibilities.
Per NCAA legislation, position may periodically be designated as a countable recruiter for the program if/when needed.
Responsible for strict adherence to all NCAA, ACC, and University rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five (5) – Eight (8) years of related work experience in video and statistical analysis in a college or professional basketball program, assisting coaches in preparation of a game plan.
Proficient in online digital coaching video software.
Demonstrated experience and training with video editing software.
Experience with on-court skill instruction and player development.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
