KLG Public Relations is hiring a Senior Account Executive to join its award-winning PR team.


This role is for someone who understands how to turn a hotel, destination, or experience into something people have to book, visit, and talk about.


The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial in nature with 3–5 years of PR experience, including at least one year working within travel, hospitality, or lifestyle brands.


This person is an ambitious self-starter and multitasker with strong media contacts across travel, lifestyle, and hospitality media, capable of representing best-in-class properties, destinations, and experiences with confidence and creativity.


The role requires but is not limited to proactive and reactive media relations; strategy development, client service, creative writing (press releases, media alerts), and creative brainstorming.


Responsibilities:
  • Proactive and reactive media pitching to consumer, travel, and trade press
  • Successfully pitch stories, meet with and manage media to deliver high-quality, meaningful coverage
  • Lead creative brainstorming sessions and contribute to brand and destination strategy
  • Identify and develop timely, culturally relevant story angles that cut through
  • Stay ahead of industry and competitive trends, regularly sharing insights and opportunities with the team and clients
  • Create key materials including press releases, fact sheets, biographies, messaging, media alerts, agendas, and recaps
  • Manage multiple clients simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of execution
  • Own and evolve media lists with a focus on quality and relevance
  • Support and execute press trips, media visits, and on-property experiences with polish and attention to detail
  • Build relationships with destinations, tourism boards (CVBs), and hospitality partners where relevant
  • Guide and mentor AE/AAE/AC teammates, helping elevate the overall work

The position is NYC-based with a HYBRID (2x/week in office) schedule.


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of PR experience, preferably with at least 2 years in travel, hospitality, or lifestyle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Experience in public relations or a related field
  • Knowledge of travel, hospitality, and lifestyle industries
  • Understanding of the media landscape and journalist relationships
  • Proven track record of securing impactful media placements
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Working knowledge of social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
