Join our dynamic team as a Media Investment Strategist!

This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing you to work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. We currently have openings in all True Media office locations, including Kansas City, MO, Columbia, MO, St. Louis, MO, and Minneapolis, MN.

The Media Investment Strategist plays a crucial role in the tactical planning, purchasing, execution, and delivery of approved media plans across traditional media channels—television, radio, print, and out of home—along with digital video and audio channels. You will collaborate with your team to establish tactical media strategies and budgets for our clients, utilizing your expertise in media measurement to help us exceed our clients' goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Media Strategy/Tactics:

Engage in media planning and buying discussions related to your assigned client portfolio. Execute each client’s tactical media plan within relevant traditional media channels, working closely with the Media Investment Supervisor and other strategists to integrate innovative solutions.
Measurement and Delivery:

Utilize the measurement strategies developed by the Integrated Media team to effectively evaluate and set up campaigns across various channels.
Research:

Analyze and compile data to identify the best tactics for media vehicles, focusing on measurability, targetability, scale, and efficiency.
Negotiations:

Negotiate competitive rates while ensuring quality exposure for clients, striving for added value with every deal.
Software and Systems:

Coordinate troubleshooting with relevant departments to ensure effective media management.
Vendor Relationships:

Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, pursuing innovation and excellence in media opportunities.
Qualifications:

2 to 5 years of professional experience in media planning and buying.
Strong understanding of media fundamentals including media math, reach/frequency, consumer/market research, plan development, and analytics.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with supervisors and team leads regarding tactical strategies and campaign requirements.
Able to analyze campaign metrics and provide insights and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
Strong negotiation skills to cultivate positive vendor relationships and secure competitive media rates.
Proficient in media tools and systems such as Advantage, Strata, eTelmar, Scarborough, Simmons, Media Audit, Nielsen, and Comscore.
Education:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in advertising, marketing, or communications, or a related field of study.
