Job Description
We’re looking for a creative and organized person to join our team for the 2026 election cycle. In this role you will learn how to create persuasive and effective short form video, as well as the ins and outs of video post‑production.

This is a cycle role that runs through November 30th, 2026. We have a hybrid schedule with an optional 2 days per week in our sunny Dupont Circle office. This position is based in the Washington, D.C. metro area and requires the ability to periodically work in person.

As a part of our Creative Team you would:

Edit short form videos for social media and paid online advertising campaigns

Incorporate edits from Sr. Video Editors and the Vice‑President, Creative

Bring your ideas, creativity, and innovation to your work. Contribute to creative brainstorms and concepting.

Coordinate video and graphic design projects for the Creative Team under supervision of the Vice‑President, Creative

Ensure that team members and freelancers have all the project assets they need to work efficiently.

Maintain an organized project file and asset folder structure from start to finish for easy navigation and file retrieval for current, team collaboration, and future needs.

Follow up internally to ensure that products are reviewed in a timely manner and that feedback is conveyed to the Creative Team

Ingest and organize footage from video shoots (transcode files, create proxies, upload files to the server, back up to hard drives, mail out hard drives)

Coordinate with freelance sound designers, color graders, voiceover artists, video editors, and graphic designers as directed by the Vice‑President, Creative

Track post‑production expenses

Ensure that licenses for footage and music are bought when videos are finalized

You’d be a great fit if you have:

1 – 2 years of professional video and/or motion graphics experience with a strong background/passion for video editing and motion graphic design

An interest in politics and elections

Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro

Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator

Strong visual sensibility/awareness, including an understanding of branding, color, typography, composition, and music

Willing to take and apply direction and constructive feedback. No edit is sacred. Circumstances and requirements change.

Strong project organization with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Superior organization and time management skills.

Strong communication skills and a preference for working in teams.

Extraordinary attention to detail.

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with tight turnaround times/deadlines and prioritizing multiple tasks/assignments

Willingness to put in that extra time and effort: sometimes we have to work longer days or on weekends, especially during campaign seasons.

A bonus but not required:

Experience creating political or issue‑based videos for digital and TV

Experience resizing videos for different, audio correction/mixing, color correction

Project management experience

Salary & Benefits
The base salary band for this position is $52,500 per year, prorated for the length of your employment. In order to counter pay inequality and uphold internal parity, salaries are non‑negotiable.
