Technical Presentation & Training Specialist
Mueller Water Products, Inc. is seeking a Technical Presentation & Training Specialist for its Water Products Division. This non‑exempt professional position will conduct product training classes for end users throughout the United States, provide in‑house training for employees, manufacturers’ reps and distributors, and mentor Jr. Territory Managers.

For most of the year (April–November) the role requires extensive travel by truck and air, predominantly across North America. During non‑travel periods the specialist will conduct in‑house distributor training from the Chattanooga, TN office and attend National Sales meetings.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct approximately 50 product training classes during the travel season, training about 3,000 attendees annually.

Conduct 10–12 in‑house training sessions for company staff and distributors, typically lasting 2.5 days and training about 250 attendees per year.

Present product updates and technical training on new product introductions at National Sales meetings.

Lead by mentoring and developing Jr. Territory Managers to enhance product knowledge and public‑relations skills.

Create and deliver training classes through the distributor network.

Develop training content for new infrastructure, technology, and software courses as assigned.

Research competitors’ products and potential new product offerings.

Create web‑based training modules for the company website.

Oversee setup and takedown of product displays while traveling.

Required Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude.

Public speaking experience; comfortable speaking to groups of 30+ individuals.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.

Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States (estimated 65%+ of time by truck or plane).

Ability to lift in excess of 40 lbs.

Passport or ability to obtain a passport quickly (required for travel into Canada).

Desired Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing a water system or selling/servicing water distribution products.

Previous sales experience in the water distribution industry.

Previous work experience in a product‑training role.

College degree.

Compensation
Salary/Pay Range:

$30.00 – $33.00 per hour USD
