Team/Position Summary:
The Content Lab Team at Nintendo of America (NOA) acts as an in‑house creative partner to strategically ideate, innovate, produce, and deliver quality content on various channels. This position will be responsible for writing and editing scripts for video production, including game trailers and marketing, advertising, and social media projects.
Description Of Duties:
Conceptualize and write content and messaging for internal users and/or consumers that is technically accurate, relevant, and ensures consumer satisfaction while maintaining the Nintendo brand.
Collaborate with Original Content and Game Assets Producers to write, proof, and edit scripts in Nintendo’s distinctive style and voice.
Assist with creative writing support including original content and localization scripts.
Study game briefs, campaign plans, and work with product and marketing team members to ensure game accuracy and key messages in scripts.
Provide input and ideation during original content brainstorming sessions alongside other internal teams in support of product launch and other marketing initiatives.
Collaborate with Advertising team to conceptualize and develop trailers for TV, web, and cinemas.
Assist with tone development and direction of voice recording sessions.
Work with senior members of Content Lab as well as Development and Localization teams to gain knowledge on previous games in franchises.
Collaborate with AV producers in developing copy and on‑screen text for video projects.
Generate supporting copy for websites, social media, and other consumer‑facing portals.
Review and provide feedback on content written by others.
Proofread and perform copy QA.
Collaborate across NOA, regional, and global teams to ensure accuracy, awareness, creative direction, and key messages are aligned.
Summary Of Requirements:
Minimum of three (3) years of professional marketing or creative writing experience.
Strong knowledge of the video game industry.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong technical or creative writing skills, in-depth knowledge of grammar and spelling mandatory.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
Experience with large, well‑known consumer brands, and/or agency is a plus.
Undergraduate degree, and/or professional certification in English, Communications, Journalism, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States to be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes the base pay range listed below, potential for a semi‑annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
