Role Overview
We are looking for a Motion Graphics Video Editor who can take a script and turn it into a clear, visually compelling video through editing, explanatory visuals, and motion graphics. This is a contract‑based creative role focused on producing videos for social media, organizations, and cities.

What You Will Do

Edit videos from start to finish

Assemble clear, well‑paced edits for long‑form & short‑form content, matching the tone and structure of existing Streetcraft videos.

Create simple, intuitive motion graphics

Animate diagrams, maps, labels, before/after visuals, and basic roadway elements to support the narrative.

Collaborate with the Story Producer

Work together to plan visuals and identify moments where animation or diagrams will improve clarity.

Maintain consistent visual style

Follow Streetcraft’s established look, rhythm, and clarity‑first approach.

What You Will Need

Strong editing and motion graphics skills

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Ability to design visuals

You should be comfortable creating clean diagrams and graphics.

A strong sense of pacing, clarity, and flow

Edits should feel engaging, intentional, and easy to follow.

A portfolio demonstrating both editing and motion graphics work

Previous experience creating content is required.

Curiosity about transportation and urban planning

While you don’t need to be a pro, a strong passion and eagerness to learn are essential.

Clear communication and collaboration skills

Crucial for working with the writer to bring the script to life visually.

Compensation and Workload
This is a contract role paid via a monthly retainer.

Retainer

$2,500 – $3,000 per month

(depending on experience).

Expected Output

Average of

1 long‑form video

(8–12 min) and

4–5 short‑form videos

(~1 min) per month.

Flexibility

Workload may fluctuate, but we will collaborate to ensure the scope remains fair and consistent.
