Role
We're hiring a long form video editor to join the team behind one of the top comedy channels on YouTube, @Vlogcreations. Millions of people watch every video.
Our content includes comedy pranks, unscripted entertainment, and original dating shows, all built around high energy, banter, and strong retention editing. Working with Ross, you'll focus on story clarity over visual polish.
This is not wedding videography. This is not cinematic ad work. This is Youtube retention editing. You must understand opening and closing loops, delaying payoff, and stakes.
Responsibilities
Long-Form Editing
- Writing an outline of how each video will be structured.
- Edit the video to match the outline with good pacing, music, and VFX.
- Implementing revisions from Ross.
- Turn multiple takes into one cohesive and retentive video.
- Constantly learning more about Youtube retention.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of youtube retention editing experience.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; familiar with After Effects.
- Basic motion graphics skills
- Strong understanding of audio mixing
- A portfolio showcasing your strongest Youtube retention editing work.
- Can perform under pressure
The Test
You will be given a paid editing test, if we think you're suited for the position.
You will be given raw footage and a story structure, to demonstrate pacing and retention editing ability.

Results
- Make a story structure per idea, that will clearly hold retention before editing starts
- Make exact revisions without losing sight of the big picture
- Complete each video by the given deadline
Compensation
$100,000+ annually
Base salary of $100,000/year, plus a percentage of revenue per video.
