Internal Communications Manager (Mission Driven)

Our mission driven and non-profit client in NYC is seeking a Communications Manager to support strategic internal and external communications initiatives. This is a temporary/contract position. This role will lead the development and execution of communication plans that engage key stakeholders, support executive messaging and drive alignment across a complex national network. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and editor with deep experience in internal communications, stakeholder engagement and strategic storytelling.


  • Rate: $55.00/hour
  • Location: 100% remote (must be able work east coast hours)


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans
  • Draft and edit executive communications, talking points, presentations and stakeholder messaging
  • Support high-profile organizational events and leadership communications
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure messaging consistency and brand alignment
  • Manage communications across a highly matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders


Required Qualifications:


  • 8+ years of corporate and/or internal communications experience
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills
  • Experience supporting executive and leadership communications
  • Strong stakeholder management and project coordination abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
