Overview
The Director, Insights & Analytics, COVID will serve as the analytical lead for a novel oral antiviral for COVID-19 Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PeP) that is expected to launch in the near future. Reporting to the Senior Director, Insights & Analytics, Infectious Disease Franchise, this role is a highly visible, hands-on position with regular exposure to senior stakeholders. This individual will shape brand strategy, influence investment decisions, and establish a cohesive, insight-driven view of performance across the organization. The role requires a leader who can personally execute advanced analytics while operating as a trusted thought partner to cross-functional stakeholders. Success in this role requires a combination of technical depth, business acumen, and the ability to translate complex analytics into clear, actionable decisions at the highest levels of the commercial organization. Develop and maintain agile analytical framework that converts raw commercial data into repeatable, scalable insights defining brand strategy
Conduct hands-on, deep-dive analysis across sales, prescriber, access, and patient-level data, incorporating advanced predictive modeling to uncover growth drivers, risks, and opportunities
Lead performance diagnostics through variance and root-cause analysis, connecting actual results to forecast assumptions and delivering synthesized, insight-driven narratives to inform commercial decision-making
Own national and sub-national brand performance reporting and analytics, developing and maintaining dashboards and KPI frameworks to track launch performance and enable rapid decision making
Spearhead design and execution of periodic Business Reviews integrating insights across analytics, market research, sales, marketing, and market access to develop a single source of truth for brand performance narrative
Design and execute HCP and account-level segmentation and targeting strategies to drive field team effectiveness across Primary Care and Long-Term Care teams
Collaborate with Sales Leadership to translate analytics into actionable field strategies and measurable performance improvements
Partner with Marketing to design and optimize omnichannel analytics strategy, including measurement, attribution, and optimization of digital marketing performance across channels
Design and execute A/B testing to assess the effectiveness of promotional tactics and pilot programs
Lead marketing mix and promotional response modeling to quantify channel ROI and inform forward-looking investment optimization
Support Market Access strategy by providing data-driven insights on contracting, coverage, and patient affordability dynamics
Quantify the impact of access dynamics (formulary status, restrictions, payer mix) on brand performance and patient flow
Support brand-level forecasting processes – sourcing and validating assumptions for epidemiology, time series analysis, primary market research, patient dynamics, access environment, promotional drivers, and competitive landscape
Closely partner with Commercial Operations functions, including Commercial Data Management, Field Operations, and Market Research, to integrate data, capabilities, and insights into a cohesive analytical ecosystem for the brand
Drive adoption of modern analytics and AI tools (e.g., LLMs, automated insight generation, advanced modeling) to improve speed, scalability, and impact of analytics
Serve as a strategic thought partner to Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and Sales Operations, shaping commercial strategy through deep analytical insight and proactive, hands-on engagement
Minimum Job Requirements
Qualifications
8+ years of pharmaceutical commercial analytics experience, with a demonstrated track record of hands-on technical execution
Bachelors degree required; Advanced quantitative degree highly preferred (mathematics, statistics, economics, operations research, computer science, or a comparable discipline)
Launch experience required, with proven comfort in agile, fast-paced, and evolving pre- and post-launch environments
Deep hands-on expertise across pharmaceutical commercial datasets, including national audits, patient-level claims, prescription, specialty pharmacy, copay and voucher, 867/852/ex-factory, formulary, digital media (focus on consumer-level campaign data), HCP speaker programs, and CRM data
Robust experience applying advanced statistical methods, including marketing mix and promotional response modeling
Demonstrated digital media and omnichannel analytics capability
Proven knowledge of market access analytics
Sound forecasting knowledge
Advanced proficiency in at least one statistical analysis platform such as SAS, R, or Python for data processing, analytics, and reporting
High analytical horsepower, highly confident sourcing, manipulating, analyzing, and visualizing data
Experience partnering closely with Commercial Data Management to shape data requirements, business rules, and analytical specifications
Strong written and verbal communication with a demonstrated ability to engage senior-level audiences and deliver compelling presentations
Experience operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment requiring broad scope, direct ownership, and the ability to build rather than inherit solutions
Proven business acumen and ability to translate analytics into commercial action
High intellectual curiosity and rigor with ability to challenge entrenched thinking, identify hidden insights, and bring creative problem-solution to ambiguous questions
Experience leveraging modern AI tools, including large language models, coding assistants, and emerging agentic workflows, to accelerate productivity and elevate the quality of analytical output
Preferred Qualifications
Primary Care commercial analytics experience strongly preferred; Long-Term Care experience, including familiarity with LTC-specific data sources, is a significant plus
Hands-on experience building BI solutions in Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms
Experience managing vendors and external strategic analytics partners while maintaining personal technical ownership of the work

Other Requirements
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10-20% of the year
Must live a commutable distance to our US Corporate Headquarters in Florham Park, NJ. Office presence is required at least 3 days per week.
Additional Information
The base salary range for this full-time, field-based position is $195,000-$235,000. Individual pay is determined by several factors, which include but are not limited to: job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The range does not include the comprehensive benefits, vehicle allowance, bonus, long-term incentive, or any additional compensation that may be associated with this role.
