Lighting Technician (Westlake)

Support the development, documentation, and installation of complex lighting systems and backlit architectural features. This role blends hands-on electrical knowledge with CAD-based design and documentation responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has experience with low-voltage systems, lighting controls, construction materials, and manufacturing processes, and is comfortable working both in the office and in the field alongside installation teams.

Responsibilities
Experience with

low-voltage electrical systems

and basic electrical principles
Working knowledge of

NEC standards

and lighting controls (0–10V, DMX)
Comfortable using

hand tools

and working with common construction materials
Familiarity with

manufacturing and assembly processes
Proficiency in

AutoCAD

(Revit and Fusion 360 a plus)
Ability to read and produce

electrical schematics

and detailed

BOMs
Willingness to travel occasionally to support installations
Proficient in

Microsoft Office

Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical systems and lighting integration
Familiarity with building management systems as they relate to lighting
Comfortable working with computers, software, and digital workflows
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
