About the Role
We’re hiring a full-time Analyst who’s eager to jump into the world of early‑stage investing. This is a 2–3 year role designed for someone who’s deeply passionate about technology, endlessly curious, and excited to be an active part of the startup ecosystem. As an Analyst, you will:

Research emerging markets and technologies

Evaluate companies through diligence: market sizing, business model analysis, competitive landscape, and financial modeling

Sit in on pitch meetings and help drive investment decisions

Support portfolio companies and attend board meetings

Manage our internal deal pipeline and CRM

Build relationships with founders, operators, and other investors

Contribute meaningfully in partnership meetings

Own special projects (e.g., events, thesis development, internal tools)

Help represent the Canaan brand and community externally

You Might Be a Fit If You …

Have 1–3 years of work experience (startups, consulting, product, or engineering backgrounds are welcome)

Are passionate about technology, startups, and big ideas

Are intellectually curious, creative, and analytical

Have strong opinions—but aren’t afraid to change your mind

Can manage multiple projects at once and thrive in a fast‑moving, unstructured environment

Are eager to hustle, build relationships, and represent Canaan in the ecosystem

Have a point of view on emerging markets and technologies

Bonus: Strong financial modeling skills and understanding of key startup metrics
