Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to teach a variety of Radio/Television classes during a variety of times.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Radio/Television.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods.
- Demonstrate various presentation styles used in television (e.g., interviews, newscasts, and related on-camera skills).
- Demonstrate audio production skills (e.g., creation of commercials, PSAs, newscasts, editing news interviews).
- Use a variety of equipment (studio cameras, a switcher, a field camera).
- Use related software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere Pro) to demonstrate editing of a variety of projects (PSAs, news packages, short video narratives).
- Available to supervise labs outside of regular classroom time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching at the secondary or college level.
- Experience with an online learning management system (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas).
Job Duties
- Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction.
- Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students with differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
- Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
