Master Control Operator

As a Master Control Operator, you will play a critical role in keeping VSiN’s broadcast operations running smoothly across our television, radio, streaming, and App platforms. From loading and editing playlists to ingesting commercial content and monitoring live signal flow, you will ensure our programming reaches audiences with precision and consistency. Working alongside our Production Control Rooms and Content Producers, the Master Control Operator will help deliver the sports betting news, information, and trends our audience depends on — across every platform we serve.

What you’ll do as a Master Control Operator:

Edit and maintain playlists in Amagi Cloudport and Planner for VSiN’s FAST Channel Best Bets TV
Monitor and verify content flow into Amagi to ensure uninterrupted delivery for our FAST Channel Best Bets TV
Load and edit Zara playlists for Terrestrial Radio and Sirius XM programming
Coordinate with Ad Ops and Creative Services to ingest and edit audio commercials and promotional content into Zara for Radio and Sirius XM distribution
Update Sirius XM metadata for each VSiN show prior to broadcast, ensuring accurate host names, show titles, and program information are reflected for listeners across the platform
Load and edit playlists in Crispin for television broadcasts, ensuring accurate scheduling and content flow
Coordinate with Ad Ops, Creative Services, and Content Team to ingest commercials, promotional, and show content into Crispin, editing as needed to meet broadcast and content/editorial standards
Build and maintain strong relationships with traffic partners, proactively reaching out to identify and secure any missing commercial content ahead of scheduled broadcast windows
Purge expired commercials and promotional content from all platforms once they have reached their end‑of‑life date, keeping systems current and clutter‑free
Utilize the Ross Dashboard and Ross Ultrix router panels to route video signals throughout the facility, ensuring proper distribution to the appropriate destinations
Communicate clearly and promptly with distribution partners regarding any technical issues or content discrepancies, driving swift resolution to protect broadcast continuity
What Will Set You Apart:

A genuine passion for sports and a working knowledge of league schedules, seasons, and the sports betting landscape
Hands‑on experience with Amagi Cloudport
Hands‑on experience with Crispin broadcast automation
Experience with RCS Zetta or similar radio automation platforms
What you’ll bring:

A self‑starter mentality with the ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and deliver results with minimal supervision
Ability to adapt quickly to unexpected changes while maintaining broadcast quality
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced, live broadcast environment
At least two years of experience in a master control or broadcast operations environment
Strong time management skills with the ability to juggle content and deadlines across multiple platforms simultaneously
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with industry‑standard broadcast playout and automation systems
Experience editing audio and video content to broadcast standards preferred
Experience with Crispin, Zara, and Amagi platforms preferred
Experience with Ross systems and vMix preferred
Basic knowledge of sports and sports betting
Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays
