Position Summary
The SWGR PL Global Communications Manager ensures that the product line’s messaging is current, aligned with Vertiv global formatting, and effectively represented across all Vertiv regions. The role covers both LV (Low Voltage) and MV (Medium Voltage) switchgear solutions, primarily in UL and IEC markets, and partners with global MARCOM, regional strategy, and SWGR PL Product Management to deliver comprehensive communication support.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the audit process to ensure regional communication documentation meets Global MARCOM and Vertiv Legal standards, including:
Standard Warranty Documentation
Operating Manuals
Factory Witness Test Reports / Documentation
CDE Documentation (Comply, Deviate, Exception)
Other compliance documentation such as RoHS, Conflict Minerals, Buy American, etc.
Brochures, spec sheets, product selection guides, sales training materials, customer FAQs, testimonials, use‑case articles
Maintain the global documentation library via the Vertiv NPDI process in collaboration with the Global MARCOM team.
Coordinate with the Global MARCOM team to ensure website compliance, messaging, and NDPI; manage creation of technical documentation through the Global MARCOM process.
Conduct competitive assessments and collaborate closely with Global Offer Management on teardowns, summarizing findings for Vertiv Sales and Customers.
Organize the global SWGR trade show and industry fair participation, including coordinating messaging, samples, and personal presence.
Develop digital documentation libraries linked to Vertiv’s global product configurators such as CPR (AMER) and C1 (EMEA).
At NPDI project closure, manage prototypes for training and promotional needs and oversee deployment of samples across regions.
Manage trade associations and marketing opportunities (e.g., NEMA, 7X24, ASHRE, IEEE).
Partner with Vertiv Government Relations globally to support related activities.
Act as the liaison for Vertiv in authoring white papers, speaking events, and supplier testimonials.
Ensure 100% of the Global SWGR PL communication documentation is complete, regionally tailored, compliant with MARCOM and Legal, and aligned with NPDI roadmaps throughout launch, maintenance, and phase‑out phases.
Qualifications
Minimum Job Qualifications :
Demonstrated experience with Global Product Lines (Electrification) and cross‑functional teams.
Ability to drive continual improvement and adapt to change.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Smartsheet and Power BI is beneficial.
Direct interface capabilities with customers at executive and technical levels.
Leading cross‑functional meetings and presenting to small groups in person or via conference call.
Experience with NPDI and PLM.
Lifelong learning mindset and curiosity.
Preferred Qualifications :
Comfortable working autonomously.
Experience introducing new processes to existing organizations.
Competence in problem solving, data analysis, and project management.
Direct experience with NEMA (Low Voltage Electrical Apparatus
Knowledge of low‑voltage components such as circuit breakers, transformers, metering, arc‑flash mitigation equipment, and medium‑voltage equipment (5 kV–40.5 kV).
Education and Certifications
B.S. or B.A. in Business or Communications preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience acceptable.
MBA beneficial but not required.
Physical Requirements

Experience in a global, multi‑cultural environment.
Travel Time Required
10 – 20 % travel.
